Now i am hearing that there is a possibility of more than one ride at cedar point this year. If there would be 2 rides, one would most likely be a thrill ride and the other would be a kiddie ride. But still it looks like a stratosoar will be the new ride.
Busch Gardens has not made an announcement for their 2011 project but we do know its gonna be big. Go here for a photo update: http://www.bgtguide.com/bgt/project2011. My sources tell me that the ride will be Cheetah themed. In a teaser video, all that was said was that the ride will be one of a kind. This makes me think that this could have some major involvement with animals. I will keep you posted.
I am talking about Cedar Point. Which has been one of the worlds best theme park since 1870. It holds the world record with 17 roller coasters including the ground breaking Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster. Dick Kinzel and the rest of the Cedar Point team want to keep that record. But with Six Flags Magic Mountain having their 17th coaster scheduled for 2011 (Mr. Six’s Dance Coaster) Cedar Points record could be in jeopardy. Many people were ready for a new coaster in 2010, but many were disappointed with Shoot the Rapids. When Kinzel announced that Cedar Point would be getting a new thrill ride for the 2011 season, many people at first thought that it was their next coaster. There were rumors about a GCI woodie on the beach, But the newest and most talked about rumor is that a Stratosoar swing ride would be replacing Ocean Motion. Even though many people are disappointed by this, I look at this two ways. 1. You get a 400 Ft tall monster of a thrill ride. Too many people now think a new coaster is coming every 2 years. I think you get a Stratosoar this year, then in 2012 or 2013 you get a big coaster because Cedar Point has tons of budget room left. 2. Even though its not likely, we still could see a coaster this year. Cedar point has fooled us in the past. Cedar Point stated on Tuesday that on August 24th at 2:00 P.M. they will announce their 2011 plans.
